Shahrukh Khan shares his learnings from Books:- One of the famous Khan- King Khan or Shahrukh Khan who rules the Bollywood industry is a keen reader of books. And his favorites include fiction, non-fiction, biographies etc. He shared his love for the autobiography of Steve Jobs and said this is the book which has changed his life multifolds and because of this book only he has learnt so many ways to conduct his business. He learnt the importance of the fact – “Focus on One thing at one time” from this book only. He applied the learnings of this book in his own company- Red Chilies Entertainment. He said that before reading this book, he was engaged in so many things at his company which was doing more harm than good, but after reading this book, his perspective was changed and he now believes in focusing on one thing only.
Adding to this the 50-year-old actor Shahrukh said that they discontinued the Television and Advertisement Productions and are now focusing on the Films and Visual Effects. While interacting with Fame, an entertainment application he said he loved the book very much but he doesn’t apply all the learning an do not agree with all the rules given in the book. The Chak De India star shared about one another book- Blink by Malcom Gladwell, he said the book is also based on Business, one can learn business etiquette from this book. He used the phrase from the book which goes like – In this age of competition, the person who blinks first, is the one who loses first.
Not only this, Shahrukh also recommended the aspiring writers to read the book “Save the Cat” by Blake Snyder. Speaking about this book he said that his is by far the best book he has read on the screenplay writing.
When he was shooting for the movie “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” in London, he got a chance to read the book “Fifty Shades of Grey” but he has not completed it yet. He said that reviews said that people didn’t think of the movie as a great one but he on the other hand believes that the movie has been attractively put.
