“Salman Bhai was there while the narration was going on. He was happy with the script and was keen to do a role in the film. But this film doesn’t allow to fit him into a character because of his larger than life image. And ‘Freaky Ali’ might have got disturbed by Salman Bhai’s grand image,” Nawazuddin said in an interview.
When the director Sohail Khan explained only one line of his project the ‘Manjhi: The Mountain Man’ actor agreed upon signing it, as he noticed something magnificent in it that he should do it and another reason he got admitted to the project because of ‘Bajrangi Bhai Jaan.’ Nawaz also told the media that his partner Amy Jackson helped him a lot with the scenes, he is working first time with Arbaaz Khan who served him a lot of things to learn.
“Once Sohail Bhai described me Freaky Ali’s one line, I was interested. Then he started to work on the script. When we wrote a script keeping an actor in mind, it made easier to structure a story. This is how ‘Freaky Ali’ started,” he added.
His role of a mountaineer in the film ‘Manhji: The Mountain Man’ was a tough challenge for him, he practiced a lot to make the scenes perfect and promising. In it, he challenged the mountain that he will destroy it, and he only had his determinations with him. The character sacrifices his whole life in breaking it. Nawaz’s acting won many hearts and people were getting motivated from him.
“Freaky Ali’ is not a heavy film. It’s a simple but inspiring film. It will inspire those who want to go from zero to hundred. People who have made an effort to achieve success from nothing will be able to connect to the character,” he said.
The 42 years old star has shown his versatility and acting grit in the range of various characters from a murderer, pickpocket, gangster, lover to hero. Nawazuddin Siddiqui believes that audience’s appreciation keeps on motivating him to do work genuinely and passionately.
‘Freaky Ali’ is an avatar of Nawazuddin which had never seen before, who does multiple severe jobs like undergarment seller, Gangsters, wasooli Bhai to cricket player of his colony and later on turns into a golf player, a game which introduced him to his love Amy Jackson.
The movie delivers a kind message that every game can be mastered by a weak nonprofessional common man too. Apart from this, the actor will be soon seen dancing with Tiger Shroff in ‘Munna Michael,’ directed by Sabbir Khan.
