’31st October’ Song ‘Yaqeen’ is a heart touching number: – 31st October 1984 is a date which can not be forgotten as on this date our earlier Prime Misinter Indra Gandhi was murdered by her own Sikh bodyguards named Beant Singh with the help of Satwant Singh. This incident gave birth to Anti-Sikh riots in which lots of innocent Sikhs were killed by the illiterate public of India. Director Shivaji Lotan Patil launched the trailer of ’31 October’ and it got a tremendously positive response from the audience as everyone especially the young is much curious to know what happened at that time. The film is starring Soha Ali Khan and Vir Das in the lead roles and other actors like Vineet Sharma, Deep Raj Rana, Gurjit Singh, Lakhwinder Singh, Aksshat Saluja, Nagesh Bhonsle are significant roles. Vir Das is playing the role of Sikh who does every possible thing to protect his family from the people who are involved in the Anti-Sikh riots, and Soha is playing the role of his wife who is afraid of evil people out in the streets.
Today, the first song from the film has been launched named ‘Yaqeen’ and really it is a soul-stirring song as it is making the hearts cry with its meaningful lyrics and miserable visuals. There is a big reason for the song that why it has been given the title as ‘Yaqeen (belief),’ the video shows that the people are killing Sikh families who were their friends and neighbours. It shows that Sikhs who were born and raised on the land of India believing that this nation is their home, but now it is not because a man from their religion murdered Indra Gandhi and people assumed that all Sikhs are traitor of India that is why the track is titled as ‘Yaqeen.’ In the video, Soha and Vir who plays the role of Sikh couple, trying to escape from the riot with their small kids and this scene will definitely shiver up spines.
Vijay Verma has composed this emotional song; Mehboob has penned the lyrics, and Mohammed Salamat has voiced it. The trio has made the song melodious. ’31 October’ is all set to hit the theatres on 7th October this year; It is written and produced by Harry Sachdeva, co-produced by Anand Prakash and it has been directed by National award winner Shivaji Lotan Patil.
